Drive positions on mining, quarry, aggregate, cement and port belt conveyors. Identify whether the enquiry is for a replacement pulley, a new drive assembly or a change in operating duty.
Provide drive power, belt speed and tension information so the enquiry includes the operating duty as well as dimensions.
Specify the required rubber lagging and exposure conditions. Pattern, material and thickness are confirmed during technical review.
Identify whether the order requires the pulley alone or associated shafts, bearing housings and other components. Availability is confirmed before quotation.
Provide belt width and speed, pulley diameter and face width, shaft drawing, belt tension data, drive power, start and stop conditions, bearing centres and mounting interfaces. Include the required lagging pattern, temperature and exposure to moisture or abrasive material. For replacement orders, record the existing pulley and drive arrangement. Belt width alone is not sufficient for pulley or shaft design.
Lagging changes the belt contact surface and can help provide traction when correctly selected. It does not eliminate the need to review belt tension, wrap angle, loading and alignment.
Head describes location; drive describes function. State both the pulley location and whether it is powered to avoid confusion in the quotation.
