Take Up Pulley

Take up pulley, also named as tension pulley, which is a key component of belt conveyor systems. Which is  mounted on the tightening device and can move to adjust the tension of the conveyor belt.

The pulley body is made from thick steel plate. Options include smooth steel surface or rubber lagging coating. Rubber lagging increases friction, resist belt slipping and protects the conveyor belt surface.which is fitted with heavy-duty bearing assemblies to guarantee stable rotation under continuous heavy load.

Application & Installation

Take up pulley is normally installed at the tail section of belt conveyors, or on the return path for long-distance conveyors. It matches screw take-up, gravity take-up or hydraulic take-up units.

Widely used in mining, quarry, cement plant, grain handling, port and bulk material transportation industries. It works together with conveyor idlers, drive pulley, tail pulley and other conveyor parts.
