Domestic development overview: China first used the electric drum type in the 40s of the 20th century. At that time, the coal blending mobile belt conveyor imported from the coal bunker of Beijing Shijingshan Power Plant was randomly introduced with an electric drum. By the 20s, electric rollers were successively introduced from abroad, and the use effect was good, and its superior performance was gradually recognized.
Since the 50s of the 20th century, China began to independently research and develop electric rollers. In 1959, the then Tianjin Belt Conveyor Factory began to collect the relevant information of the electric drum, in 1961, the first oil-cooled electric drum in China was trial-produced, and in May 1964, the series design of the YD64 oil-cooled electric drum was completed, with a total of 153 specifications, which could meet the basic requirements of China's belt conveyor at that time.
With the development of China's conveyor industry, the requirements for electric rollers are getting higher and higher. In the late 20th century, the introduction of foreign electric roller manufacturing technology promoted the vigorous development of electric rollers in China, and in 1989, a unified standard JB/T7330-94 electric roller was formulated
Foreign development overview: At the end of the 30s of the 20th century, Germany first successfully developed a natural air-cooled electric drum. From this time on, the motor used was a collector ring asynchronous motor with a rotating stator. Later, the oil-cooled electric drum was successfully developed and put into use, and with the development of motor technology, the technology of the electric drum was continuously improved.
In addition to China, there are dozens of well-known manufacturers of electric rollers in the world. Among these companies, some companies can produce up to 40,000 electric rollers of different specifications and sizes per year. In Western Europe and North America, there are mostly oil-immersed gear driven electric rollers, while natural air-cooled and oil-cooled electric rollers are rare. Natural air-cooled drum motors are generally used in the food industry and production lines. The main manufacturers of electric rollers on all continents, including China, currently have a total annual output of 40~500,000 units of various electric rollers.
